A few weeks ago Tom and I were watching t.v. in our room, while kids were playing away from us. After realizing we hadn't been disturbed for 'too long' I went downstairs to find Mr. Miles on the counter enjoying the sprinkles. He had spilled an entire bottle of multi-color tiny sprinkles all over the kitchen counter spilling onto the floor. That wasn't all the damage he had done, he also managed to get into the rice first and dumped that all over the tile kitchen floor. The rice apparently didn't hit the poor kids sweet tooth so he moved a chair and climbed onto the counter in search of sugar. I guess I can't really blame him, I'd just like him to learn how to clean up after himself. As I was taking pictures Tom began sweeping, Tom said, "You are just happy to have something to write about." That's partly true, I am mostly happy to see Miles overcome all the obstacles with his health and that he CAN climb. He has been kicked out of kids on the move, the early intervention group of therapist with him and has officially been placed in the "Normal" category. I've learned "Normal" is relative.
This morning I decided to make the kids pancakes for breakfast, which is rare treat for them. It seems so wrong to me to load kids up with sugar in the morning. However, a few times a year I give in and today was one of those days. Risi was so excited she asked me to stack hers up like she has seen on some t.v. commercial, silly girl. One of the most painful things for me to watch is Miles eating, he wants so much to eat like the big kids. He gets about 1/4 of what is on his spoon into his mouth, so you all know where the rest goes. Oatmeal is the worst, I have to walk away, and of course he wants oatmeal for every meal. Practice makes perfect right? He will figure it out and soon my sticky floors and chairs will be a thing of the past.

Reading your post reminded me of Lisa when she was Miles age. She was into everything! She got into more trouble at 2 than all my other kids put together! Now she is 14 and I hate that she is growing up and getting older. I enjoy her so much. She is a delight! I'm glad Miles is doing so well!
Sticky today what will be tomorrow. The life of a family is just so glamorous! I hate messes when they happen but love looking back on the trouble these little ones have made...sooooo cute! When we do come to Utah I will expect pancakes and I want mine piled high also like on tv!
I see some cocoa mix that he missed. Mmm, chocolate.
And yes, I can relate to making every situation into blog fodder. But I'm getting better...
Oh my goodness -- He is so cute! I am so glad that you got a picture of him up there. My Charles was always on the counter.
What Fun!!! Millie just poured a whole Huge cup of coke all over her and then danced in it and tracked it all over my whole house! So we can both think of each other as we clean up the STICKY mess. He was awfully proud of his fine job! That's hard work!
We will someday look back and miss these Sticky day! We must love them while we have them!
Hope you have a Wonderful Valentines Day! Do you have something fun planned? Wish we could do a date with you.
