Thanksgiving Delayed

I promised a while ago I'd share highlights of my trip with just Miss Ris to California. The journey getting there I will treasure forever, the AIRPLANE, she has been on a plane about 12 -14 times, but most of that was when she was 0-3 so she doesn't remember very well. That airplane ride was as exciting for her as trip to Disneyland, only it was less expensive, hmmm...need to remember that!
She wanted this plane ride documented, so here it is. Risi in her seat, Risi watcing the plane get ready, looking out the window and flying above the clouds. The sweet lady next to us was most patient with her excitement.

Next I have to explain the Las Vegas airport experience, we had an hour lay over in Las Vegas, so we are walking to our gate, and she see's a video game arcade aka slot machines or gaming room. She says, "Mom can I have so money I want to go play some games?" "No, you certainly may not." This led to the oh so curious gambling discussion.
Next we arrived at Ryan's in-law's who are the sweetest people we could spend a holiday with. We've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time with them over the years, and we absolutely love them.
This is turning into about a 5 day blog, it's taking me longer to write than our actual trip. So, summing things up - we went for Alexis's baptism. She is such a beautiful girl, and she looked so pretty in her dress. I'm so happy that Risi and her are such good friends and cousins. We love Lexis! Here are some pictures of Thanksgiving day fun, birthday fun, Alexis and Risi at baptism and Risi as 'Deb' from Napoleon Dynamite. For a while after she saw that movie she would ask for a 'Deb' pony. (side pony tail)
And, that's it folks, gotta get to Christmas blogs.
